2015 Caring in the Community Award Individual Winner

Sixteen year old Paris Cudar from Port Kennedy has been announced the winner of the 2015 Young People Who Care Awards for the category ‘Caring in the Community – Individual’.

Paris volunteers with the special needs program at Western Cheersports. She has volunteered at the cheerleading dance company for the past 4 years.

Paris assists with an inclusion dance class, helping meet the needs of children with a range of disabilities and illnesses. Paris works directly with a young autistic girl and a young man with cerebral palsy. Her empathetic approach and commitment to the students is very much appreciated by the students, parents and coaches. 

Paris was nominated by her coach who says that her hard work is making such a huge difference to the lives of the children and her kindness and drive to help others reach their potential is an asset not only to the class but to the whole community.
